Mila —Original Pressed Botanical Artwork | Botanical Portrait Wall Art
Pressed botanicals in vintage frame
Original work
11” x 13”
Mila is a one-of-a-kind original pressed flower artwork created from real botanicals. This botanical portrait is constructed through contrast and partial revelation, where figurative form and symbolic language share equal presence within a single layered composition.
The work explores duality—presence and concealment, structure and abstraction—through carefully arranged pressed botanical materials and controlled color placement. Form emerges and dissolves within the same visual field, creating a shifting sense of identity and meaning.
One side of the composition resolves into figurative structure, while the opposing side transitions into textual floral form, where the word “LOVE” is constructed through botanical placement. This element introduces language as material, blending symbol and structure within the natural composition.
The result is a contemplative study of expression through fragmentation—where meaning is held in both what is formed and what is withheld.
Created from real botanicals gathered and pressed over time in Arizona. Natural variation in color, texture, and form is preserved as part of the work’s character.
Signed by the artist with wax seal and year. Ready to hang.
Botanical materials will naturally soften and evolve over time, adding to the organic nature of the work.
